Potatoes against sunburn

With the arrival of summer you will be exposed to the sun without paying attention to the time or the use of adequate protection for the skin.

There are so many people who have to relieve sun damage: sunburn, diarrhea, redness or even blisters.

Nature, as in many other cases, comes to our rescue, offering a number of useful remedies to relieve pain and rehydrate the skin deeply.

Potatoes are one of the most popular natural remedies for sunburn. This is because they contain solanine, a glycosidic alkaloid, a strong substance that contains carbohydrates. Solanine has the ability to prevent the formation of blisters that in the long run cause the various unattractive and annoying spells.

To use this natural remedy, just peel a potato and slice it one slice for each scum that has been found on the body. The potato slice is left on the skin for half an hour. Alternatively you can make a crunch of crushed or grated potatoes to apply on the burned part to get immediate relief.
